Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of Year 2 pupils, ensuring that the curriculum is taught in an inspiring and effective manner.

Regularly assess pupil progress, using data to inform teaching, adapt learning plans, and provide feedback to pupils and parents.

Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that encourages pupil engagement, critical thinking, and a love of learning.

Collaborate with colleagues, contributing to planning, sharing best practices, and ensuring the continuity of high standards across the year group.

Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and supporting them in their educational journey.

Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that contribute to the school’s inclusive and vibrant community.
Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

A thorough understanding of the Year 2 curriculum, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

Proven experience in assessing and tracking pupil progress, using assessment data to inform teaching and support differentiated learning.

Strong classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and productive environment that supports the academic and social development of all pupils.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
*
A passion for early childhood education, with a commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
