The Role
Your mission is to maintain a stable and productive learning environment. You will lead the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Pre-Planned Work: Facilitate lessons using materials provided by the department-no subject-specific expertise is required across all areas, just the ability to guide the students.
Classroom Management: Confidently manage student behaviour in line with school policies to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere.
Student Support: Assist pupils with queries regarding their work and encourage high levels of engagement.
Professionalism: Liaise with school staff and provide feedback on lesson progress and any behavioural issues.

Candidate Requirements
Confidence: You must be comfortable leading a group of 25-30 secondary-aged students.
Adaptability: The ability to think on your feet and jump into different subject areas (from English to PE).
Reliability: Schools depend on cover staff to keep their day running smoothly.
Background: Previous experience in a school setting, coaching, youth work, or a similar supervisory role is a significant advantage.
Compliance: You must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
