£40 p/h (Umb/Ltd) Role is outside of IR35

My client is looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer to come in and make a difference.  Having recruited the most recent contractors for this company I can tell you that the likelihood of contract extensions is highly likely.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the following:

•    The role is the high-level concept design and calculations of Mechanical systems taken from client specifications.

•    Once you have understood the specification from the client you will be required to specify the Mechanical systems and perform calculations – using excel and Mathcad.

•    You will be checking and performing calculations regarding structural loadings, fabrications, ducting and air flow loadings, pitch, heave and roll calculations for offshore applications.

•    You will be carrying out concept design and engineering thinking regarding cost reduction, weight reduction and design for manufacture -how can it be improved.

You must possess the following skills to be considered for this role:

•    Experience in Mechanical engineering

•    Ability to carry out calculations and stress calculations – Ansys, Mathcad and hand calculations.

•    Good understanding of client specifications.

•    Support engineers, check work, attend and lead design reviews.

•    Experienced in heavy engineering. Large structural fabrications.
