Salary: Circa £60,000 – £70,000 + Package

The Opportunity

A strong opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential main contractor delivering large-scale housing developments across South Wales. This role offers long-term stability, exposure to major residential schemes and the chance to play a key role in commercial decision-making on live projects.

You’ll take commercial ownership of one or more residential developments, working closely with site, technical and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget and in line with programme expectations.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:

Leading the commercial delivery of residential construction projects.

*

Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and monthly CVRs.

*

Procuring subcontract packages and negotiating terms.

*

Managing valuations, variations and payment applications.

*

Supporting final accounts and commercial close-out.

*

Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity.

*

Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers.

*

Producing clear commercial reports for senior management.

About You

*

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.

*

Strong background in residential construction or housebuilding.

*

Excellent understanding of JCT contracts and subcontract procurement.

*

Confident managing projects independently from start to finish.

*

Commercially astute with strong analytical and reporting skills.

*

Clear communicator able to work collaboratively with site teams.
