This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to grow within a forward-thinking supply chain team, supporting the procurement of essential goods and services that keep operations running efficiently.
This role is perfect for someone with previous purchasing or supply chain experience, ideally from a manufacturing environment, who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is confident dealing with suppliers and internal teams alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure raw materials, working closely with planners to ensure accurate and timely purchase orders
Manage long-term supply agreements and externally held stock levels
Monitor supplier performance across quality, cost, and delivery metrics
Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing decisions with business needs
Support supplier evaluations, tenders, negotiations, and audits
Assist in preparing reports, maintaining compliance documentation, and updating records
Stay informed about market conditions, trends, and pricing fluctuations
Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, zero-loss projects, and strategic procurement planning

What We're Looking For:
Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
Solid Excel skills; familiarity with MRP/ERP systems preferred
Eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Team player who is equally motivated working independently
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above), including Maths and English
A qualification in Supply Chain or Purchasing is a strong advantage
