Hours: Full-time, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: £90 – £105 per day (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in a supportive primary school setting in Birmingham (B31). This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional passionate about making a real difference to children’s lives.
About the Role:
Starting in September 2025, you will work closely with children who have a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour. You will provide targeted support and interventions, helping pupils to engage fully with their learning and reach their potential.
SEND Focus:
This role is key to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the school. You will work closely with the SENDCo and teaching staff to implement personalised learning plans tailored to each child's unique needs. Your expertise will help children with diverse challenges, such as communication difficulties, sensory needs, and social or behavioural barriers, to access the curriculum and thrive within the school environment. Experience with intervention strategies, behaviour management, and alternative learning methods such as photo-based learning and phonics will be highly valuable in this role.
Key Skills & Experience:
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly autism and ADHD
Skilled in delivering targeted interventions and managing challenging behaviour
Knowledge of phonics teaching and photo-based learning approaches
Relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies
