Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

*

Recent or relevant experience teaching in a Key Stage 1 or 2 setting

*

A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum

*

High expectations of pupils’ progress and behaviour

*

A creative, engaging teaching style with the ability to differentiate effectively

*

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

*

An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge all learners

Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress

*

Monitor and assess pupils’ achievements, keeping accurate records

Work collaboratively with year group colleagues, support staff, and parents

Participate in whole-school initiatives, professional development, and staff meetings

*

Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure pupil wellbeing at all times
