Mechanical Fitter
Salary £15.00 per hour + over time at 1.5, Yate, BS37, Monday to Friday 40 hour week, 8.00 - 4.30pm, temporary initially with opportunity for a Permanent role, 28 days holiday (incl bank holidays), pension, parking.

An opportunity to join a friendly manufacturing team in Yate with a growing order book as mechanical fitter, pump fitter, equipment assembler. This is in a workshop environment building equipment for a range of customers, reporting to the workshop supervisor you will receive full training on the companies range of equipment.

The mechanical fitter, pump fitter, equipment assembler role involves

Assembling high-volume water pump systems and associated components
Following technical drawings and build specifications
Complete work in a timely manner and to meet the equipment build time line
Extensive use of conventional hand and power tools
Electrical wiring and connection of pre-built wiring looms and connectors
Knowledge of 12v /15 v equipment for wiring DC motors
Functional testing and fault finding to ensure compliance with quality standards
Complete necessary QC paperwork following successful test procedures.
Identify and report any non-conformities or potential improvements in the assembly process

The mechanical fitter, pump fitter, equipment assembler position would suit a candidate with the following skills

Good mechanical fitting experience with previous equipment build and assembly
Any Pump fitting or hydraulic experience would be of particular interest but not essential
Knowledge of electrical wiring and connection
A mechanical or electro mechanicalapprenticeship or technical training and qualifications would be of interest but candidates with time served experience are also suitable
Previous experience with cranes or lifting gear would be useful but not essential
Attention to detail and ability to problem solve independently
Previous experience with forklifts is of interest but not essential
