Our client, a leading organisation dedicated to providing unparalleled services to the Utilities and Construction industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis in Newbury, West Berkshire, offering an hourly pay rate of £14.
About the Role:
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by ensuring accurate financial processing and maintaining efficient records. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger Management: Assist in the maintenance of the purchase ledger to ensure accurate financial records.
Invoice Verification: Cross-check invoices against purchase orders for approval, ensuring all transactions are correctly documented.
Order Logging: Efficiently log orders to job folders to maintain organised records of all transactions.
Data Input: Accurately input financial data into the system, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
General Office Duties: Support the team with various general office tasks as needed, fostering a collaborative environment.
Expense Assistance: Help manage and process expense claims, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursements.
What We Are Looking For:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with accounting software.
A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is advantageous but not required.
