We are currently seeking dedicated, patient, and adaptable tutors to work with pupils across Northampton who are unable to access full-time mainstream education. These students may be awaiting a school placement, struggling in their current environment, or receiving education through the local authority.

This role offers a deeply rewarding way to support learners at their own pace - with the flexibility to fit tutoring around your schedule.

What Does a 1:1 Tutor Role Involve?

Planning and delivering tailored lessons based on each pupil's level and individual needs

Building positive, trusting relationships to help students re-engage with education

Following EHCPs or personalised learning plans

Completing simple online session reports after each tuition session

Working flexibly - during the school day or after school, face-to-face or online

Supporting students in varied settings such as mainstream schools, alternative provisions, or their homes

Who We're Looking For

Experience working with children or young people in education, tutoring, or support roles

A calm, patient, and encouraging approach

Confidence delivering learning independently and adapting lessons in the moment

Strong behaviour management and resilience

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Teaching qualifications are beneficial but not essential - your experience is what counts
