Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and creative Teacher of Music to join a thriving and inclusive secondary school in Barking & Dagenham on a permanent basis. The role is available for an immediate start and is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.
This is an ideal role for a passionate Music specialist who is keen to inspire students and contribute to a supportive, forward-thinking school community.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 opportunities available depending on experience)
Inspire students to develop musical skills, creativity, and confidence
Support and contribute to extracurricular music activities, including clubs, ensembles, and performances
Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Music department and the wider school community

Person Specification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending qualification
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Music education
Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
