This isn't a VAT compliance position. You'll be tackling complex partial exemption matters, structuring advice for sophisticated clients, and getting involved in high-value due diligence work that actually uses your technical expertise. The variety is impressive - one day you might be advising on regulatory compliance, the next you're presenting technical solutions to partner-level meetings. The progression opportunities are genuine. This firm invests heavily in developing their people, and VAT specialists who demonstrate great technical knowledge or commercial awareness move up quickly. While not mandatory, you'll be given the opportunity to write articles, speak at seminars, and build your own reputation in the market.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing your own portfolio of Financial Services clients
Providing technical VAT advisory services across diverse sectors
Liaising directly with HMRC on complex queries
Supporting business development through client events and thought leadership
Mentoring junior team members and reviewing their work
Preparing VAT sections of due diligence reportsWhat You Bring

Strong VAT technical knowledge with Financial Services experience is essential
Proven client management abilities and/or excellent communication skills
Experience dealing with HMRC and advanced Excel skills complete the pictureThe Package
