Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Day Shifts)
Shift Times: 06:00–14:00 and 13:00–21:00

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Maidstone. This is a Monday to Friday, daytime role within a busy head office environment, offering stable hours, free parking, and uniform provided.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring the safety and security of staff, visitors, and the premises

*

Unlocking and locking the building

*

Issuing visitor and staff passes

*

Monitoring access control systems

*

Conducting regular patrols of the site

*

Working closely with centre-based staff and stakeholders, including Social Services and Councillors

*

Responding to incidents and emergencies, including fire marshal duties and evacuation procedures

*

Liaising with emergency services when required

*

Managing conflict situations calmly and professionally

*

Completing accurate report writing and documentation

Requirements

*

Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence – essential

*

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*

Strong customer service skills

*

Confident approach to conflict management

*

Ability to work as part of a team in a professional office environment

*

Enhanced DBS – desirable (will be applied for and paid for successful applicants)

*

Prior knowledge of safeguarding children – desirable (training will be provided)
