Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

South Wigston, Leicester

Up to £51k plus bonus and overtime (DOE)

3 x 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday (mornings, afternoons, nights, with earlier finish times on Friday (never work past 9pm on Fridays).

This is a great opportunity to join a secure and successful business with a global footprint. The business is a manufacturer producing precision components predominantly for aerospace applications.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with electrical qualifications and working knowledge and experience in mechanical maintenance to support the ongoing proactive and reactive maintenance of company plant machinery. Most of the machinery in scope is a range of CNC machining equipment including milling, grinding, and EDM. There is lots of opportunity for contribution to site improvements as part of a dedicated site engineering team.

Safety is at the forefront of everything at the site, you would be expected to support the application of safe working practices and systems. The company onboarding processes are designed to set you up for success and include up to 3 months shadowing and working alongside a lead engineer for the site before moving onto your own shift pattern.

What you will need:

* Formal qualifications in electrical engineering or electrical maintenance.

* Proven industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience

* Proven experience in AC / DC servo drives

* Fault finding on control, electrical, and mechanical systems

* Strong diagnostic skills

* Pneumatic and hydraulic skills and experience.

* Mechanical maintenance skills (rebuilding of spindles, bearing replacement, gear boxes, hydraulics, diagnosing problems)

* A competitive salary, up to Circa £51k dependent on experience (inclusive of allowances)

* Additional earning opportunities through bonuses and overtime. Overtime is readily available and paid at premium rates.

* A basic 37 hour week over Monday to Friday including mornings, afternoons and nights rotating. We finish earlier on Fridays, never work past 9pm on a Friday night!
