STEM Recruitment Solutions are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Control Analyst to their client in Dundee. As a Senior Quality Control Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with health and safety practices, maintaining data integrity, and upholding high standards of quality in all laboratory operations. You will be responsible for performing various testing activities, troubleshooting analytical issues, and providing technical support to analysts. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in analytical chemistry, knowledge of GMP and data integrity requirements, and excellent communication skills.
Key Accountabilities:
* Health and Safety
* Quality and Compliance:
* Practice good housekeeping, GLP, GMP, and data integrity requirements, ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance.
* Identify and escalate situations where quality is compromised.
* Perform testing activities as required, including testing of starting materials, finished products, stability samples, non-routine and project testing/work, and validation testing activities.
* Support team leads by providing technical expertise and guidance to analysts.
* Participate in delivering training to analysts when necessary.
* Raise and investigate Out of Specification (OOS)/Out of Trend (OOT)/Out of Expectation (OOE) occurrences.
* Support closure of team actions related to Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), laboratory investigation reports (LIR), change control, audit actions, standard operating procedure (SOP) updates, and method updates.
* Perform equipment calibrations, routine maintenance, and instrument qualifications as required.
* Conduct data review and release of starting materials, finished products, and stability samples when necessary.
Analysis:
* Perform testing of samples received in Quality Control (QC).
* Verify and approve analytical data.
* Provide support for method verification and validation activities.
* Perform analytical data trending, release of raw materials, primary and secondary packaging materials, printed packaging, and evaluate Out of Spec trends.
* Troubleshoot analytical issues as they arise.
Competencies:
Qualifications: HNC or Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry/Pharmacy/Biology).
Knowledge/Experience:
* Solid experience as an analytical chemist, with expertise in chromatographic techniques (HPLC and GC), spectroscopic techniques, and classical techniques.
* Strong knowledge of GMP and data integrity requirements in QC environments.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
