Senior Site Engineer
Location: Northumberland Office & Earthworks Sites Across the North East
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Our client is seeking a confident and experienced Senior Site Engineer to lead engineering operations across a range of Earthworks projects. This is a hands on role approximately 70% site-based and 30% office-based offering the opportunity to shape major infrastructure works while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to project success across the North East.

Key Responsibilities

Lead site surveys and setting out using GPS, total station, and laser levels

*

Produce accurate drawings, volume calculations, and technical reports

*

Support estimating and tendering activities with take-offs and material analysis

*

Supervise, guide, and mentor two Site Engineers, ensuring quality, compliance, and best practice

*

Coordinate with Contracts Managers and senior leadership to drive project delivery

*

Maintain accurate, structured site and project records

*

Ensure all works adhere to health and safety regulations and company standards

What We’re Looking For

*

Strong experience in site engineering, ideally within Earthworks

*

Proficiency with surveying equipment and CAD software

*

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability

*

Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

*
