Around 3,500 farmers based in East Anglia and the East Midlands supply our four advanced manufacturing sites with eight million tonnes of sugar beet every year. Job Purpose

Inventory Controller with a sound understanding of warehousing and systems to ensure accurate reflection of finished goods, packaging, materials, and ingredients. The role takes ownership of ensuring stock checks and stock controls are robust to support overall effective stock management on site. Effective stock controls enable the effective decision making of the movement of goods to external warehouses to meet customer requirements.

Core Accountabilities

Co-ordinating the movement of product to external warehouses, ensuring the correct allocation to meet customer orders.

Maintaining full traceability of all incoming and outgoing product and system transactions, proactively identifying issues to ensure accurate invoicing and receipt of payments.

To ensure the warehouse management systems accurately reflect deliveries of packaging and materials, together with inter-site and return movements, working closely with other British Sugar sites.

Owning the production and stock accounting by ensuring that systems accurately reflect production and movement of sugar products, identifying and resolving variances through interrogation and analysis, and summarising appropriately to relevant stakeholders.

To ensure that the finished products and packaging are aligned to the warehouse management system, managing the execution of internal stock checks and reconciliations both product and materials.

Carry out periodic reviews on materials usage, to recommend changes to BOM data where appropriate to ensure accurate recording and accounting of BOM and non BOM components.

 Ensure documentation and training of stock control processes are reviewed, updated and briefed out to ensure compliance.

Skills, Knowledge & Competencies

Experience of working with Warehouse Management systems.
Strong IT skills - particularly MS Excel.
Good communication skills including sharing and explaining analytical data.
Ability to organise and prioritise.
Driven with a desire to achieve.
Works on own initiative and ability to work as part of a team
