They are seeking an Engineering Technician to join their mobile team supporting hospitals across the Southwest. This is an exciting, varied role where you will play a key part in maintaining high standards of patient care and supporting healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities of an Engineering Technician
*
Complete work orders for planned and reactive maintenance, specialist sub-contractor tasks, and remedial work in a timely manner.
*
Provide technical, health, safety, and environmental support across a regional group of hospitals and Integrated Urgent Care sites.
*
Perform routine and specialised engineering maintenance and breakdown support.
*
Mentor and provide hands-on support to mobile-based Technicians or Engineering Assistants.
*
Advise and support the management team as required.
*
Promote strong team culture and maintain a can-do, safety-focused attitude.
Requirements of a Engineering Technician
*
CSCS Card at the appropriate level.
*
City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
*
Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical discipline essential.
*
Strong understanding of Health & Safety guidelines.
*
Knowledge of L8 Legionella ACOP in hospital settings is desirable.
*
Excellent organisational, time management, and fault-finding skills.
*
Ability to read detailed plans and work independently.
