SEND Headteacher
Location: Birmingham (exact site to be confirmed following relocation)
Salary: £78,701 – £91,156 (L18 – L24, dependent on experience) + discretionary bonus
Pension: Enhanced contributions for qualified teachers (13.5% employer / 6.75% employee)
About the School:
A smaller specialist provision in Birmingham is being rebranded and reopened following the relocation of an existing school. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a school’s identity, culture, and curriculum from the ground up. The specialist focus and pupil cohort will be confirmed in due course.
The Role:
We are looking for a dynamic, flexible Headteacher to lead this newly rebranded school. The successful candidate will have leadership experience and the ability to develop a new school, build effective teams, and establish high-quality learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Establish the school’s vision, culture, and strategic direction.

Recruit, develop, and lead a dedicated team of staff.

Plan and implement curriculum and policies aligned with best practice.

Build strong relationships with parents, the local community, and stakeholders.

Oversee day-to-day management and long-term development of the school.
Person Specification:

Leadership experience, preferably as a Headteacher or senior leader in a specialist or SEND setting.

Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Ability to lead change, innovate, and adapt to evolving school needs.

Passionate about providing high-quality, inclusive education.
