NES Fircroft is recruiting experienced Technical Safety Engineers working with a leading Oil & Gas Operator supporting offshore Southern North Sea operations.

Roles are based in Norwich and forms a key part of the team, ensuring compliance with UK safety legislation, industry standards, and best practice.

On offer are either long-term contracts or staff positions, relocation support, good day rates or staff package.

We are looking for experienced Technical Safety Engineers with hands on skills/modelling, QRA as well as consequence assessment, including the use of PHAST or similar and CFD Tools and experience with fire water systems is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and facilitate safety studies including TRM, HAZID, Bowtie, ALARP.
Develop Barrier Diagrams (Bowties) and undertake consequence modelling (PHAST, FLARESIM mandatory).
Carry out QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment), Event/Fault Tree development, Hazardous Area Classification, and Fire & Explosion Risk Assessments.
Prepare Safety Case updates and conduct 5-year Thorough Reviews.
Manage technical safety studies via contractors (e.g., CBA, EERA, PEA, OBRA).
Provide safety input for Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with OSDR/SCR, PFEER, DSEAR, DCR, PSR, and PSSR.
Stay up to date with changes in safety legislation and industry standards.
