Hr Administrator
Location: Millmead House, GU2 4BB
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 2+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 13.80 per hour

Responsibilities
Provide effective administrative support in HR, Learning and Development, and Payroll, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Engage with applicants, colleagues, councillors, and other stakeholders in person, via email, and over the phone.
Lead and resolve transactional HR, L&D, and Payroll administration tasks.
Support the scheduling of meetings and events.
Assist in HR financial management, including raising PO requests.
Comply with Health and Safety legislation, identifying and managing risks as required.
Use the Business World system for financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of HR invoices.
Support the HR Manager with end-of-year financial administration.
Manage HR email inboxes and Service Desk tickets, escalating urgent requests as needed.
Process reference requests and transactional HR enquiries.
Arrange interviews, onboarding, induction, and probation meetings.
Coordinate Long Term Service Awards and assist with the Job Evaluation process.
Manage payroll changes and requests, including providing copies of payslips, P60s, and P45s.
Support Learning and Development administrative tasks and manage the L&D email inbox.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate data administration within HR systems.
Person Specification
Candidates must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a pass in English and Maths.
Experience in administrative work.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Understanding of GDPR, data protection, and confidentiality.
Strong written and spoken English skills.

Ability to handle telephone and personal enquiries courteously.
Ability to work effectively in a small team.
Calm, efficient, and effective under pressure.
Attention to accuracy and detail, with the ability to work methodically.
