Vehicle Technician – Time‑Served / Qualified (MOT Tester Preferred)
Location: Shotley, Suffolk
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00
Salary: £30,000–£37,000 DOE plus benefits

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled vehicle technician — either time-served or qualified — who is comfortable handling the full range of duties expected from a vehicle technician. This includes servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and ideally MOT testing. Being a MOT Tester is preferred but not essential for this vehicle technician role. The position is Monday to Friday, in a modern workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all servicing, repairs, and diagnostics expected of a professional vehicle technician
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, and conduct MOT tests if qualified as a vehicle technician
Maintain clear communication with service advisors and customers regarding repairs completed by the vehicle technician
Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety standards strictly as a vehicle technicianRequirements:

Time-served or qualified as a vehicle technician (NVQ Level 3 / ATA or equivalent)
MOT Tester qualification preferred but not mandatory for the vehicle technician role
Full UK driving licence
