With this in mind, they are now looking for a Finance Manager's Assistant to join them and help the group with as they get the business ready for future investments.
General Job Description
Your duties will include but not limited to:
* Produce VAT returns.
* CIS calculations and payments
* Assist accounting staff and companies with day-to-day accounting duties.
* Manage ledgers and ensure accurate financial record keeping across Companies.
* Receive and process invoices for payment following authorisation and sign off.
* Assist with general accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.
* Manage and challenge project costs across all businesses.
* Assist with monthly payroll tasks – collation and processing of expenses, payments, and journals.
* Contact clients as necessary to ensure accurate and on-time payments are received for recharges.
* Use spreadsheets and database tools to assist in financial record keeping.
* Drive continuous improvement.
Experience & Qualifications
* Proficient in the use of Xero and other accounting packages
* In depth experience of VAT
* 2-5 years of previous accounting experience
* Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite productivity tools
* Ability to quickly learn and use industry-specific accounting tools.
* Meticulous with a heavy focus on maintaining accuracy and integrity of accounts.
* Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Intercompany balances and reconciliation.
* Ability to multitask across several types of accounting-related projects within the group.
* Must be a collaborator.
* AAT qualified is desirable but finalists and Qualified by Experience (QBE) are also encouraged to apply for this role.
* Interest in using AI.
