We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a well-established UK-based PCB manufacturer with a long-standing track record in complex printed circuit board production. This is a high-profile role within the business, leading an established and high-performing quality team in a heavily regulated manufacturing environment.

Our client is a specialist PCB manufacturer supplying highly complex, technically demanding circuit boards into regulated markets. The business has a long and proven history, strong customer relationships, and a reputation for quality, reliability, and technical capability. Their PCB manufacturing processes are advanced and varied, requiring rigorous quality control and strong engineering judgement.

The Role

This position is focused on PCB manufacturing. PCB assembly, previous experience overseeing PCB assembly environments would be of interest, as it provides valuable insight into downstream product requirements and customer expectations. You will provide senior-level quality leadership, ensure compliance with industry standards, and act as a key interface between customers, operations, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage a team of experienced inspectors

* Oversee quality assurance across PCB manufacturing processes

* Ensure compliance with IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-601

* Maintain and improve quality systems aligned to AS9100 and ISO 9001

* Act as the primary quality interface for customers

* Lead complaint investigation and resolution, including customer-facing discussions

* Drive structured problem-solving using 8D, 5 Whys, and Six Sigma methodologies

* Provide confident, well-reasoned decision-making in a regulated manufacturing environment

About You

* Proven experience as a Senior Quality Engineer within a heavily regulated industry (aerospace, automotive, electronics manufacturing, or medical devices)

* Strong experience overseeing PCB manufacturing is essential

* Previous exposure to PCB assembly operations is desirable, but not a requirement

* Working knowledge of IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-601

* Experience leading established quality teams

* Highly resilient, with a strong background in complaint resolution

* Strong customer-facing and communication skills with excellent judgement
