Site Manager - Industrial Scheme (Hertfordshire)

Location: Hertfordshire, UK

Project Type: Large Industrial/Shed Development

Day Rate - Neg

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations for a large-scale industrial development, ensuring adherence to programme, safety, and quality standards.
Oversee subcontractors and site teams, ensuring effective coordination of works including acoustic systems and complex M&E installations.
Monitor and enforce HSE compliance, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Lead site meetings, manage site documentation and reporting, and ensure works are executed in line with technical drawings and specifications.
Drive progress on site to ensure timely delivery, mitigating risks and resolving on-site issues as they arise.

Essential Requirements:

Valid CSCS (Managerial) card
Current SMSTS certification
Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification
Proven experience on industrial/shed projects - ideally £10m+ value
Strong acoustic construction experience
Experience managing heavy M&E installations on large-scale industrial builds
Solid knowledge of construction health & safety protocols
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skillsDesirable Skills:

Previous experience working with high bay racking, internal fit-out, or large-scale logistics units
Familiarity with steel frame construction and large envelope packages
Background in delivering projects for major logistics or distribution clients
