Secondary SEMH Teacher required

Bradford – Full time

Maternity cover

We are currently recruiting for a qualified, experienced secondary teacher to cover a Maternity cover up until Easter half term 2025. The school is a large SEMH school that is Ofsted rated Outstanding for their behaviour situated in the Bradford area. You will be teaching a class of 9, Year 7 pupils working on a primary model content. You will need resilience, consistency, tenacity, drive and passion to teach these children.  

Job spec & description:

Must have qualified teacher status.
Bachelor degree/ PGCE with QTS.
May accept ECT’s but must demonstrate experience of teaching vulnerable complex children with Social and emotional dysregulation needs.
Resilient and solid classroom management skills.
Demonstrate your success of teaching Year 7 pupils.
Deep understanding of children that present with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs and complex needs.
Ability to differentiate your deliverance in order to keep students engaged in their learning.
Be prepared to plan and assess work.
Attend meetings with SLT whenever required.
Be flexible and adaptable in your approach.
Must have current and valid DBS on the subscription service, or willing to undertake one.
This is a full time role and we are NOT able to offer sponsorship.
