Position: Installation Engineer

A growing organisation in the industrial gas systems sector is seeking a skilled Installation Engineer with experience in pipefitting, particularly in industrial environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team and further develop your career.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble, install, maintain, and repair piping systems and components (e.g., valves, fittings) at customer sites.

*

Perform pipe cutting, bending, connecting, and welding using industry-standard tools and techniques.

*

Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, specifications, risk assessments, and method statements to plan and execute installations.

*

Install gas cylinder regulators and valves for gas flow control within piping systems.

*

Conduct standard testing procedures, such as pressure testing and helium leak detection.

*

Prepare surfaces (walls, ceilings) for pipe installations using hand and power tools.

*

Create installation reports and assist in preparing cost estimates for future work.

*

Manage time efficiently and meet project deadlines.

*

Work collaboratively with an adaptable installation team.

*

Travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays when required.

Essential Qualifications & Attributes:

*

Minimum of 2 years’ relevant installation experience.

*

Qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent (training can be provided).

*

Strong understanding of pipe materials, systems, and installation techniques.

*

Experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

*

Background in industrial environments; an engineering qualification is advantageous.

*

Welding experience beneficial (training offered).

*

Full UK driving licence.

*

CSCS cardholder.

*

Flexibility for travel and overnight stays.

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
