Senior Structural Engineer

£50k-£55k plus benefits

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for talented Senior Structural Engineer to join the business within their Scarborough team. The role:

Your primary focus will be to undertake structural design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Add value to a wide range of construction projects across the complete construction spectrum. Current projects include Schools, Colleges & Universities, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Petrochemical, Food and Energy
You will contribute to and oversee the production of technical drawings, calculations and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, maintain high technical standards
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

About you:

You should be proactive a self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player
A BEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a master's degree would be an advantage)
A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil & structural engineering, with a focus on designing and delivering complex projects
Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body
Proficiency in using industry-standard software for structural analysis and design
Excellent knowledge of relevant codes and regulations
Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and team members
Full UK driving licenceIn return our client offers an excellent benefits package with hybrid working 2 days a week. If you enjoy fish & chips - they will provide those too!
