Lead Groundworker

Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Location: Cornwall

Hours- 45 a week

We’re looking for skilled Lead Groundworker/Chargehand to join a dynamic civil engineering team delivering essential infrastructure across Cornwall.

What you'll do:

* Supervise and lead a small team on-site

* Set out work to specifications, including drainage, ducting, kerbing, and concrete

* Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

* Operate plant and tools as needed (with appropriate tickets)

* Communicate effectively with site managers and contractors

* Maintain accurate records and site diaries

What you’ll need:

* Proven experience in groundwork and supervising others

* Knowledge of site safety procedures

* Ability to interpret drawings and set out work

* Relevant plant and tool tickets (e.g. dumper, roller, CAT & Genny)

* CSCS card (essential), SSSTS or equivalent (desirable)

* Driving licence (essential)
