Operating from a dedicated office in Surbiton, the practice handles a wide range of high-quality residential projects (including listed buildings) and enjoys long-term relationships with many satisfied clients. Position Summary:
We are seeking a Revit Draftsman (MEP) to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate 3D building information models (BIM) for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using Revit software. This role involves detailed modeling, documentation, and coordination within a BIM environment to support various building projects, particularly those involving historic and listed properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed 3D Revit models for MEP systems.

Create models based on design sketches, engineering calculations, and specifications.

*

Produce plans, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings from Revit models.

*

Ensure model accuracy and compliance with BIM standards.

*

Coordinate Revit models with architectural and structural disciplines.

*

Perform clash detection and assist in resolving coordination issues.

*

Create and manage Revit families for building services components.

*

Generate schedules, quantities, and material takeoffs.

*

Support design teams with visualizations and presentation materials.

*

Organize models and manage files according to company protocols.

Required Qualifications:

*

Associate degree in drafting, engineering technology, or related field.

*

2–4 years of Revit modeling experience, preferably in building services.

*

Strong knowledge of MEP systems and components.

*

Proficiency in Revit MEP and related BIM software.

*

Solid understanding of BIM principles and construction documentation.

*

High attention to detail and accuracy in 3D modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

*

Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or related field.

*

Revit certification or advanced Revit training.

*

Experience with other BIM platforms (e.g., Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP).

Knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy modeling
