Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and create CNC programs for milling machines using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, or similar).
* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to create accurate machining instructions.
* Ensure that the milling processes are optimized for efficiency, quality, and safety.
* Analyze machining capabilities and adjust programs to accommodate specific production needs.
* Troubleshoot, test, and modify CNC programs to improve performance and quality.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
* Perform post-processing of CNC programs, ensuring correct tool paths, cutting speeds, and machine settings.
* Set up and calibrate milling machines for optimal operation.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
* Provide support and training to machine operators, ensuring proper machine setup and operation.
* Maintain and update CAD/CAM files, machine programs, and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
* Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in CNC programming, machining, or related field.
* Proven experience as a CAD CAM programmer with a strong focus on CNC milling machines.
* Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Fusion 360.
* Strong understanding of machining processes, tool paths, and materials.
* Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming.
* Familiarity with CNC machine operations and setup.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience with multi-axis CNC milling machines.
* Familiarity with ISO and other quality standards.
* Certification in CNC programming or related fields.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Use of standard machining equipment and CAD/CAM software.
