This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a privately owned Building Services Provider, working on one of their prestigious commercial sites located near Liverpool Street. The role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule 7am - 4pm, 8am - 5pm, 9am - 6pm, 10am - 7pm carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks across landlord and tenant areas.
As a key member of a team of 8 engineers, your responsibilities will include diagnosing and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems within the building, ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations, and maintaining regular communication with the client to provide updates and address any maintenance-related concerns.
Duties:
PPMs & Reactive maintenance
Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, BMS Operation
Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
Organising subcontractors
Completing logbooks and RAMS
Reports
Liaising with client representatives in respect of corrective repair works.
Permits to work
Raise and close jobs on PDA's as necessary.
Requirements:
Fully qualified in Electrical Installations / Electrical Engineering (City and guilds / NVQ / EAL or equivalent + regulations qualifications)
At least 3 years experience as an electrical engineer in commercial environments
Client facing attitude
Live within commutable distance of the City of London
Apprentice trained - Desirable
