Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a leading automotive distributor based in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland who are looking for a purchasing assistant to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for an individual with procurement experience to join a growing team with huge potential to progress.

You will be assisting the Purchasing Manager and contributing to efficient procurement processes.

Responsibilities-

* Work on multiple computer systems to complete a wide range of tasks, including data input

* Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders both orally and in writing

* Handle complex data with attention to detail and accuracy

* Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and inventory, ensuring data is easily accessible

* Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods

* Provide general administrative support to the purchasing department

* Any other duties as required by the Purchasing Manager.

Skills required-

* You will be an experienced administrator who has worked within a busy office environment

* Ideally you will have proven experience in a similar role within procurement

* · Strong negotiation skills and an ability to build productive relationships with suppliers

* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

* Strong communication, organisational and time management skills

* You will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)

* Strong attention to detail and data management skills

* Naturally you will have a positive attitude and a willingness to take on challenges.

Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm

Salary- £26k-£28k dependant on experience
