A pioneering biotech company based in Cambridge is seeking a commercially-minded and technically accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the development and scale-up of an innovative diagnostic platform.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the technical roadmap, from concept through to commercialisation.
Lead and grow a multidisciplinary R&D and engineering team.
Ensure robust development of diagnostic products in line with regulatory and commercial requirements.
Oversee technology transfer and manage the transition to commercial-scale manufacturing.
Work closely with the CEO and board to shape business strategy, support fundraising, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Cultivate and manage external relationships with manufacturers, academic collaborators, and clinical partners.Essential Criteria

Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in a relevant technical or scientific discipline.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in product development within life sciences or diagnostics.
At least 3 years in a senior technical or product leadership role in a commercial organisation.
Proven experience taking an in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) product to market and through commercial-scale manufacturing.
Strong background in startup environments, including fundraising, board engagement, and strategic planning
