Are you ready to support Blackpool's most resilient learners?
We are seeking a dedicated and strong Teaching Assistant or Youth Worker to join our specialist SEMH School in Blackpool. Our school provides a safe, nurturing, and highly structured environment for children and young people who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

Classroom Engagement: Work alongside a specialist Class Teacher to deliver lessons, often on a 1:1 or small group basis.

Progress Tracking: Help monitor student's social and emotional development, celebrating the small milestones that lead to big changes.
What We Are Looking For
Strength & Resilience: You need to be someone who can remain calm, composed, and positive, even when faced with verbal or physical aggression.
Relevant Experience: Backgrounds in SEMH schools, PRUs, Youth Work, Residential Care, or the Military/Police are highly valued.
Empathy: An understanding that "challenging behavior" is often a form of communication for students with unmet needs.
Consistency: Our students need reliable adults. We are looking for someone committed to the full school week.
Why Choose This SEMH School?
Impactful Work: Work in a setting where you are part of a multidisciplinary team (including therapists and specialists) making a real difference.
Excellent Rates: £95 - £125 per day, reflecting the specialist nature of the role.
No Weekend Work: Standard school hours (08:45 - 15:45) allow for a great work-life balance.
Professional Growth: Opportunity to gain specialist SEN qualifications and crisis intervention training.
