This business supply throughout UK, Europe and the Far East and Middle East, they have experienced excellent growth over the past few years, with a current turnover of £40m and a team of 100+ employees.
Due to growth, they are expanding and hiring for a Buyer.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the FMCG industry and eager to develop their career in procurement.
Key Responsibilities of a Buyer:
* Source products and suppliers worldwide.
* Negotiate and manage our existing supplier base
* Category and range management.
* Plan and select product according to customer demand.
* Monitor, maintain and action business analysis and trends.
* Identify and retain strong working relationships with suppliers and will be accountable for end-to-end contract negotiations, onboarding and renewals.
* Collaborate effectively with key internal stakeholders.
Skills and Experience Required of a Buyer:
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Previous experience in Buying, preferably in seasonal goods industry.
* Be organised and motivated to be the best you can be.
* PC literate, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
* Strong customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external parties.
* Excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task.
* Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities.
