Crane Controllers (Rail)

Due to a number of recent contract awards, Power & Infrastructure Resourcing are looking to recruit experienced Crane Controllers for nationwide projects.

Start dates – March onwards

Regular weekend work, with opportunities leading into midweek shifts

Competitive rates of pay (TBD)

Role Overview

As a Crane Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe operations during crane and lifting activities within the rail environment. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain a safe system of work (SSOW) during lifting operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Implement and oversee the Safe System of Work (SSOW) for crane operations

* Collaborate closely with machine operators, COSS, and site supervisors

* Control lifting operations in line with rail safety standards

* Ensure loads are securely attached and safely lifted

* Monitor lifting activities and ensure safe removal of loads

* Maintain compliance with Sentinel and Network Rail standards

Requirements

* Valid COSS (essential)

* Crane Controller competency (Sentinel)

* Strong understanding of rail lifting operations

* Experience working within rail infrastructure

* Ability to work regular weekends

* Safety-focused and reliable
