The Role
As an Architectural Technologist, you will be pivotal in the technical delivery of projects. Collaborate closely with the principal architect and clients from planning through to completion. Your responsibilities will include producing high-quality technical information, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring the successful realisation of design intent on-site.
Key Responsibilities of the Architectural Technologist:
- Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for planning, tender, and construction stages.
- Prepare and manage Building Regulations submissions.
- Develop and maintain drawing standards and technical workflows.
- Attend site visits and client meetings as required.
- Assist with contract admin and project management during construction phases.
Requirements of the Architectural Technologist include:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally with a high-end residential focus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with SketchUp and Adobe Suite is a bonus).
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple projects.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and passion for delivering quality work.
- CIAT registration or working towards is desirable.
