Sue Ross Recruitment are seeking an Employment Solicitor to join a growing specialist employment law and HR consultancy based in Sheffield. You will play a key role in delivering expert advice to a diverse client base, spanning individuals, businesses, and charities across multiple sectors. The position offers the chance to work with a high degree of autonomy, in a flexible and supportive environment, with opportunities for further progression.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide timely, practical advice on all areas of employment law and employee relations, both remotely and in person
* Manage employment tribunal cases from start to finish
* Draft and review employment contracts, HR policies, and procedural documents
* Deliver seminars and bespoke training sessions on employment law topics
* Supervise and mentor junior members of the employment law team
* Support business development initiatives and client relationship management
* Contribute to the ongoing growth of the legal team, with potential to progress to Head of Employment Law
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a driven and experienced Employment Solicitor who can demonstrate:
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an employment law role, advising respondent clients
* A strong ability to deliver practical, commercially-minded, and cost-effective solutions
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to suit a wide range of clients and cultural backgrounds
* A confident presence when delivering presentations, training, and seminars to diverse audiences
* A collaborative and pragmatic working style, with the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
* A personable and approachable demeanour, with a focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Proven experience or readiness to lead and manage a small team of employment law advisors
* A proactive attitude toward business development, including attending events and supporting growth initiatives
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills, essential for client advocacy and case management
