Attendance Support Officer
Contract: Full-time, 36 hours per week, Term Time Only (plus inset days)
Start Date: January 2026

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Attendance Support Officer to join our pastoral and administrative team from January 2026.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Attendance Officer and pastoral staff to promote excellent attendance and punctuality across the school. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and caring individual who enjoys working with young people and families, and who wants to make a real difference to students’ success and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities

Support the daily monitoring of student attendance and punctuality

Contact parents and carers regarding absences and lateness

Maintain accurate attendance records using the school’s MIS system

Work with pastoral teams to identify patterns and support interventions

Contribute to attendance initiatives and reward programmes

Assist with administrative tasks related to attendance and pastoral care

About You

Experience of working in a school or similar environment (desirable)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

Confident in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office (experience with SIMS/Arbor an advantage)

Able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff

A calm, professional, and proactive approach to challenges
