Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading North Wales manufacturer, in their search for a Despatch Team Leader to work at their site in Wrexham.

For the successful Despatch Team Leader, our client is offering:

Salary of circa £40,000 per annum DOE
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (flexibility required)

The Role – Despatch Team Leader:

Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Despatch Department
Oversee UK and international order processing, including commercial and non-commercial shipments.
Ensure compliance with the Known Consignor Scheme, hazardous goods regulations, and all export documentation requirements.
Liaise with couriers, customers, QA teams, and regulatory bodies to maintain smooth and compliant despatch operations.
Manage temperature-controlled logistics and ERP-based despatch documentation
Lead and support a team of 6–8 staff, ensuring effective coaching, training, and performance management.
Drive continuous improvement, support audits, and maintain facility systems and regulatory compliance.

What our client is looking for in a Despatch Team Leader:

Previous experience in an export/distribution leadership role within a highly regulated industry – ESSENTIAL
A proactive, detail-oriented leader with strong communication and planning skills
Experience with temperature-controlled logistics, or dangerous goods handling – DESIRABLE
Comfortable using ERP systems and managing despatch documentation
A team player with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and operational excellence
