Pertemps are recruiting Pipefitter/Plumber Mates and Improvers to join a leading multi-national construction company based in Oldbury.

The work is carried out at a modern offsite facility with excellent conditions, supporting commercial and industrial projects such as schools, hospitals, hotels, prisons, and accommodation projects. The company specialises in plant and boiler package systems, riser and horizontal distribution modules, and other prefabricated pipework solutions.

Mates will assist qualified tradespeople with fabrication and installation tasks, including pipe preparation and assembly, following instructions and maintaining a safe working environment. No previous experience is required, but a hands-on, enthusiastic approach is essential.

Improvers are expected to have some commercial or industrial plumbing or mechanical experience. They will carry out basic installations and assist with more complex pipework under supervision, using hand tools and jointing methods such as soldering, crimped, push-fit, flanged, threaded, and electro-fusion. Improvers will work towards gaining full skills and independence on-site.
The role involves working with copper, steel, and plastic materials, and applicants must provide their own hand tools.

Hours of Work: 
Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:00 
Friday 07:30-13:00 

Pay Rates:
Mates £13.77 per hour
Improver £14.08 per hour
Improver CIS £18.27per hourOvertime is also available.
