Job Title:Revit Technician

Location:Bristol

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 

Contract: Fulltime, Permanent

Thorn Baker has teamed up with an integrated design company providing architectural, structural, product, and production process design services, and project management, to deliver a better built environment with Modern Methods of Construction. And they have lots of fun too!

Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) is their approach to delivering higher performing buildings that are economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable, and elegantly made and as more projects are coming in, they are looking for a Revit Technicianto join their team.

Your Responsibilities:

Prepare building designs and highly detailed models using Revit and AutoCAD.
Produce efficient and well-structured coordinated models, data and drawings thatcomply with quality standards.
Work to design procedures and use relevant project information to produceaccurate design for manufacture and assembly information.
Monitor health and safety in design and prepare design risk assessments and residualrisk registers.Communicate design decisions to the project team.
Identify and resolve conflicts in information from diverse project sources.
Prepare specifications, scopes of work, and provide technical assessments ofconstruction works packages.
Prepare, submit and co-ordinate Building Control applications and the subsequentdischarge of any conditions.
Maintain a good understanding of Building Regulation Approved Documents, British andEuropean Standards, Codes of Practice, BIM procedures and good working practices.

Required Skills:

Architectural / Environmental Design / Engineering degree or equivalent.
Experience of BIM Level 2 Standard in Revit, Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DfMA), and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
Good working knowledge of Building Regulation Approved Documents, British andEuropean Standards, Codes of Practice, BIM procedures.
Experience working on complex and large-scale projects.
Working knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD and Office 365.
