An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a brand-new, purpose-built 6-bed children’s residential home in Handsworth, Birmingham. This specialist service will support children with complex trauma and includes onsite education, offering a fully integrated approach to care and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the registration process with Ofsted and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance

Recruit, develop, and manage a skilled and resilient staff team
*
Build and maintain a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment
*
Collaborate closely with the onsite education team to support holistic outcomes
*
Deliver high standards of care aligned with individual care and education plans
*
Engage with local authorities, families, and professional networks
*
Oversee budgets and ensure the home meets operational and safeguarding standards
Essential Requirements:
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent
*
Proven experience managing a children’s residential home
*
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, therapeutic care models, and complex trauma
*
Inspirational leadership qualities with a focus on team development and child outcomes
*
Confident in working with Ofsted, commissioning teams, and multi-agency professionals
