A well-established, privately owned main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a main contractor background to be part of a team on a large £40m+ residential development near Maidstone, Kent.

This is a long-term role (2+ years) offering genuine site ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to deliver a flagship project outside of a PLC environment.

Key Responsibilities

*

Full day-to-day management on a large residential site

*

Managing subcontractors and coordinating all trades

*

Driving programme, quality, and health & safety performance

*

Overseeing all construction phases through to completion

*

Maintaining site paperwork including RAMS, permits, inspections, and daily records

*

Producing accurate progress reports for senior management

*

Managing quality control

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential or mixed-use projects

*

Main contractor background is essential

*

Experience working on large-scale schemes

*

Strong technical knowledge and a hands-on approach

*

Excellent paperwork, reporting, and organisational skills

*

Confident managing subcontractors and running a site autonomously

Qualifications

SMSTS

*

CSCS (Black or Gold preferred)

*
