We are seeking an individual to join our in-house Caretaking Team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dedicated team that plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our council’s housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:

Work as part of a small team to clean internal and external communal areas across council-managed housing.

Carry out a range of caretaking duties, including:

Sweeping, mopping, and dusting communal areas

Litter picking in and around estates

Removing bulk waste and refuse

Sweeping car parks, service roads, and bin areas

Report any repairs, safety hazards, or incidents to the appropriate team.

Ensure all tasks are carried out in line with health and safety, fire safety, and building safety regulations.

Requirements:

Experience in caretaking and/or professional cleaning is desirable.

A full, clean UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good awareness and understanding of health and safety in a caretaking environment.

Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing a high standard of service.
