A creative and community-led school in Wantage is seeking an Early Career Teacher of Art to join its innovative Arts team this September. The school places great emphasis on expression, mental wellbeing through creativity, and showcasing student talent across the local area.
You’ll work in a large, well-equipped department with kiln rooms, printmaking facilities, and digital art tools. Projects are ambitious and varied, encouraging students to take risks and develop a personal visual voice.

Your Key Duties:

Deliver Art lessons across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE portfolio work
*
Teach a range of media: drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, and more
*
Plan cross-curricular initiatives and take part in public exhibitions
*
Help students develop critical reflection and visual storytelling
The Ideal Candidate:

Holds a degree in Fine Art or similar, with QTS (or pending completion)
*
Strong technical and digital skills across various art forms
*
Reflective, inclusive, and supportive in your approach to teaching
*
Able to create a studio-style classroom culture that celebrates exploration
