Contract & Procurement Specialist - Hybrid (Multiple UK Locations)
Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a Contract & Procurement Specialist to join a leading UK construction and regeneration group. This is a permanent, hybrid role that can be based in Warwickshire, Derby, London, Manchester, Motherwell, or York. Candidates must meet UK Security Clearance criteria.
As a Contract & Procurement Specialist, you will support the growing number of bespoke sub consultant appointments across the Power, Aviation, and Life Sciences sectors. You will work closely with Procurement and Legal teams to develop and manage sub consultancy agreements, standardise terms for key services (e.g. fire assessments, acoustics, asbestos), and ensure main contract obligations are effectively stepped down. The role also includes supporting strategic procurement initiatives and maintaining supplier compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Procure and manage sub consultant professional services contracts.
Support legal reviews and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with main contract terms.
Maintain and develop the company's pre-qualification and supplier management systems.
Assist in the development of strategic supply chain agreements and procurement strategies.
Provide commercial support to project and work-winning teams.
Requirements:
5+ years' experience in procurement or supply chain within construction or engineering.
Strong knowledge of NEC and IChemE contracts.
Degree-qualified; MCIPS chartered membership preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with COINS, SAP, or Ariba is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
