Qualified Hairdresser

Holds relevant industry qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing)

Current industry knowledge - up to date with modern techniques, products and trends in cutting, colouring, styling and treatments.

Teaching qualification (e.g. L3 Award in Education and Training, PGCE or equivalent)

Full Assessors Award

Assessment experience - familiar with vocational assessment standards (VTCT)

Health and Safety Awareness - strong understanding of salon hygiene, COSHH and workplace safety procedures.

Capable of lesson planning and delivery

Can practically demonstrate techniques and guide students through hands-on practice.

Good classroom management

Be able to adapt if needed.

Be capable of running a busy training salon with students.

Familiar with VRQ specifications.

The hours are Thursday 9-4 and Friday 9-2 (Commercial training salon)
