Company Commercial Solicitor 3+ PQE

Overview:

A well-established, forward-thinking law firm based near Holborn is seeking a commercially minded Company Commercial Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE to manage its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident self-starter to work closely with SMEs, entrepreneurs and in-house counsel across a wide range of commercial and corporate matters. You will need to scope work, quote for work and win work and be comfortable taking the lead. A broad knowledge based outside of the SME company commercial expertise is needed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Advise on a broad range of commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, franchising, agency, and IP licensing.

* Draft, review and negotiate shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and other documents for the structure of companies.

* Support clients through M&A transactions, including due diligence, disclosure and SPA drafting.

* Implementing employee share plans.

* Provide pragmatic legal solutions to complex business issues.

* Maintain and build long-term client relationships through excellent service delivery and commercial insight.

* Manage a team of junior lawyers. Contribute to the wider success of the team.

Requirements:

* Qualified solicitor admitted in England & Wales with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in company and commercial law. Candidates with more than 3 years’ PQE will be considered.

* Strong drafting and negotiation skills. Background knowledge in tax relating to SMEs preferred.

* Comfortable managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.

* Commercially astute with a client-centric mindset.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Experience advising owner-managed businesses, SMEs, or start-ups is highly desirable.
